Calibre d’Amour is a colt by Catoki, who had a very successful career at CSI5* Grand Prix level, with numerous wins in Grand Prix classes, World Cups and Nations Cups.

Catoki has also become a very successful sire, with many of his offspring competing at the highest level around the world. His offspring are known for their attractive appearance, good type, balance, elasticity, excellent attitude and, of course, their results in the sport.

Some of his best-known offspring are Ermitage Kalone, ridden by Gilles Thomas, and Catch Me If You Can, ridden by Laura Klaphake. Other successful offspring include Contanga, Catwalk 22, Catover and Cool Down.

Calibre d’Amour’s dam, Dadais van het Kastanjehof won the Swedish championship in Falsterbo as a 5 year old and participated in the World Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken. She has since competed successfully, achieving over 40 placements in up to 140 classes, before entering the breeding program. With her carefully, attitude end technique, she is very great value of breeding!

Dadais is also the full sister of the 1.60m Grand Prix horse Boo van het Kastanjehof. With Andrew Welles, Boo won in Tryon and finished second in Wellington. She also achieved third-place finishes in Lexington, Wellington and Tryon, as well as several other international placings.

His granddam, Kacha van het Kastanjehof, by Pachat II, is the dam of Guyana van het Kastanjehof, who competed at 1.40m level with Swedish rider Camilla Ahlén.

Kacha has also proven herself as a valuable broodmare, with no fewer than five horses in her offspring and grand-offspring competing at 1.40–1.50m level.

The third dam, Wondra, by Fleuri du Manoir, is the dam of the 1.40m horse Nistrum van het Kastanjehof and the granddam of Argentina van het Kastanjehof, who also competed successfully at 1.40m level.
